Crowlands Film Society
The Crowlands Film Society was formed in 2004 to :
1 Re-create the atmosphere of cinema-going in the 1950s.
2 Provide an opportunity for local residents and other enthusiasts to socialize, and
3 Donate to local community projects, through any excess funds raised.
The society meets in the Public Hall, Elmhurst Road, Crowlands ( VicRoads map 57C4 or Melways 520 G11 ).
Screenings are for members only (See membership below).
The Hall is renamed The Empire Theatre for screenings.
Patrons are encouraged to dress up.

Please fill in the contact form to have your name added to our membership list. Membership is free and once on our list, allows you to receive program information and entitles you to attend screenings for free. Our membership list is not shared with any third party.
Crowlands Film Society members receive a complimentary drink on arrival at screenings, view a film for free and share a hearty country supper with other members at the end of the night, all at no charge.
News
The Society has plans to produce its own short film.It will be a black & white film set in the 1950s and shot in a grand feature-film “ David Lean” style.
The simple story tells of a farmer returning from the field and treating his wife to the movies.
